4. OT Jack Conklin

Another player that’s sure to have a long line of suitors, signing Jack Conklin this offseason would be a massive move for the NY Giants. For too long, the Big Blue offensive line has been a crew of misfits and castoffs designed to be patchworked for one season. It’s time to finally invest in the offensive line the right way, and drafting a tackle in addition to signing Conklin remains a very attractive option for the Giants.

Conklin is another one of those players that are likely going to be overpaid. However, if you’ve been watching the NY Giants over the past decade, there’s no price you can put on having a great offensive line. Grabbing the former 2016 All-Pro would transform the offensive line overnight and give Saquon Barkley much more confidence in the run game. One of the best run blockers in the league, Barkley would feel comfortable bouncing it outside to his right knowing Conklin would be setting the edge.

Again, like many of the other players on this list, the NY Giants are going to have to overpay here. The NY Jets have already been rumored to be the favorites to sign Conklin, and 25-year-old former All-Pro offensive tackles don’t hit the open market too often.

The NY Giants have the path to a productive offensive line right in their grasp with where they sit in the draft and the money they have, so Conklin needs to be in play. The team simply has no legitimate options at either tackle spot at the moment.
