The NY Giants don’t have much cap space left, but here are five free agents that make sense that could be fit under the current salary cap.

With the major first wave of free agency long over, the NY Giants are left with a small amount of cap space to work with to fill their remaining holes. To be kind, there are still numerous holes to fill, and Dave Gettleman is going to have to get creative to get that done.

This is the portion of free agency where the best GM’s thrive and take advantage of players not finding the deals they originally anticipated. The Giants still need a pass-rushing help in a major way, a starting center, a nickel corner and possibly a free safety at this juncture.

At this moment, Spotrac projects Big Blue to have just $12M left in available cap space. That number could grow with some restructuring or letting a player like Spencer Pulley go, but with Dave Gettleman wanting to head into 2020 with a solid amount of reserve cap, he’s really going to have to go bargain hunting to get things done.

Luckily for him, there are still plenty of players left on the free agency market that could help this team in 2020 and beyond for affordable prices.

Here are five free agents still on the market that make sense for the NY Giants to target.
