3. EDGE Ezekiel Ansah

A player that I had previously linked to the NY Giants heading into the off-season, the market has been predictably cool for the oft-injured veteran pass rusher. Once an All-Pro player and a top-ten pick, injuries have derailed Ezekiel Ansah’s career and ruined his 2019 season that he hoped to reclaim his value during after signing a one-year deal with Seattle.

The Seahawks ended up paying $9M for just 2.5 sacks from Ansah last season, and his market value should have pretty much deteriorated as he’s due to turn 31-years-old before the 2020 season. Still, players with multiple double-digit sack seasons are a rare thing to find on the market, and he’s a rare case as he didn’t start playing football until into his early 20’s.

Joe Judge has previously mentioned that if the team struck out on finding a premier edge rusher that he’d be fine having a package of rotating players as he had previously seen in New England. Ansah added to a stable of O’Shane Ximines, Lorenzo Carter and Kyler Frackell wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

Chance it happens: Low

Potential offer: 1 year/$3M
