2. OT Mekhi Becton

Becton has been a hot name over the past two months due to his athleticism for someone his size. His name has been in the news recently for a few negative reasons, including one scout saying he loves cooking and eating more than football. Although I’m not sure how that is a real red flag.

More recently Becton has been in the news for allegedly failing a drug test at the NFL Combine, but since he is not currently facing a suspension upon entering the league, he likely won’t fall much for that.

Becton is an athletic mauler who could use some help technique-wise and needs to learn how to be a finisher on a more consistent basis, but he’s easily got the highest ceiling of any offensive tackle in the draft. Unfortunately for Becton, he also has the lowest floor of the top four tackles. There is more risk with Becton than some of the other options here, but if a team is banking on him reaching his ceiling, he could end up a steal.
