Overall, if you would have told me we’d come out of this draft without only major need being edge rusher I’d be thrilled. I’m almost happy Gettleman totally ignored the position in this draft as this was the weakest edge class I’ve ever seen.

We got our bonafide left tackle of the future who I had the highest grade on out of the ‘core four’ offensive tackles by a substantial amount – Andrew Thomas allowed a staggeringly-low 36 total pressures in 41 career games in the SEC and college football playoffs.

We got the best safety in the draft who can do it all, a solid developmental tackle of the future, one of the draft’s best slot corners, an uber-interesting center prospect/transition project, and a boatload of late-round linebackers with high upside.

Next. No place for Solder on 2020 Giants after strong draft. dark

We’ll have to survive 2020 with a weak edge group that’ll have to get it done by committee, but with all the cap space we have next year and the 2021 draft, we’ll fill that hole, too.

This draft couldn’t have gone much better for us.
