Game #4: Week 8, Giants vs Bucs MNF, 8:15 pm

After finishing a three-game stretch against NFC East opponents, the NY Giants welcome Tampa Bay to New York for another Monday night home game.

The Bucs look much different than last year, replacing Jameis Winston with the immortal Tom Brady. The Bucs have suddenly gone from one of the NFL’s least successful teams to a team with immediate Super Bowl aspirations just from signing the G.O.A.T alongside his favorite target in Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski.

The Giants beat the Bucs in both 2018 and 2019. Daniel Jones thrived in his NFL debut vs the Bucs, leading a 2nd half 18 point comeback and scoring the game-winning touchdown on a 4th down run. Clearly, this will be a much different Buccaneers team than in previous years.

Bruce Arians’ squad will keep the painful memory of last year’s loss fresh in their mind as revenge for this game.

The Giants also faced Brady last year in his last season with New England. The Patriots proved too much to handle for the Giants but that didn’t come without any famous Big Blue harassment of Tom Brady in the pocket.

The Giants applied pressure and got home with 3 sacks, with Brady fumbling and losing one as Markus Golden took it back 42 yards for an emphatic touchdown. Big Blue has an extensive history of hitting and sacking Brady as much as they can. The plan has proven effective as the Giants took Brady down in two Super Bowls and had a rare NFC win in Foxborough.

The Giants must find a way to generate pressure with exotic and confusing looks to throw off Brady’s timing with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Gronk. This game will be great to watch and fun to appreciate as Tom Brady takes on the Giants for what may be his last time ever.

Look for the NY Giants faithful to make their presence felt from the stands in a primetime game against one of the greats in football history.
