Right Guard- Kevin Zeitler

Kevin Zeiler is one of the best guards in the NFL. He consistently grades as an elite pass blocker and is solid at run blocking as well. After getting traded from the Browns on his birthday last year, Zeitler performed admirably on a bad team.

Unless Andrew Thomas exceeds expectations for a rookie, Zeitler will continue being the best offensive lineman on the NY Giants. He should remain at his natural position and help mentor the young offensive lineman around him.

It is possible that Zeitler would perform well as the center for the Giants. He possesses the smarts and ability to change positions. That being said, I believe that it is not worth messing with a good thing at right guard.

Despite getting less attention than the Odell Beckham Jr. trade, the Zeitler for Olivier Vernon swap is another win for the G-Men. Cleveland desperately missed his pass blocking in 2019, and Vernon was not the type of difference-maker on the edge to compensate for the loss of Zeitler.

The former Wisconsin Badger is the type of player to build around and is still in his prime. The fundamentally sound right guard should stay at his natural position.
