NY Giants Quarterbacks 2020 Preview

Going into the new 2020s decade, the NY Giants have a new face at quarterback to lead the team. At this point, the Giants are all-in on Daniel Jones as the team’s starting quarterback.

It is essential that Big Blue can provide a roster able to compete for the playoffs and hopefully more the next four years while Jones is on his rookie contract.

It is no secret seeing teams succeeding with this formula with teams like the Chiefs, Eagles, Rams, Ravens, and Texans all experiencing much success while building the entire roster with a high-performing quarterback still on his rookie deal.

Heading into 2020, Daniel Jones and the rest of the quarterbacks will be tasked upon learning a new offense under Jason Garrett. Garrett will look to deploy a more vertical offense that relies on heavy tight end usage, a workhorse running back and good offensive line play.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put an abrupt halt to all league offseason activities and has forced the players to only communicate and learn virtually with their playbooks and tablets. This has put the NY Giants and Daniel Jones at a disadvantage as they try to establish a new identity on offense.

Regardless, life must go on and the team can’t use the time off as an excuse for subpar play from the quarterbacks in 2020. The team will only go as far as Jones will be able to take them to new levels this season. If and when the season ever resumes play, the Giants will need a strong training camp from all five QBs to bring on last season’s positive continuities and to fix their struggles.

The NY Giants have five quarterbacks on the current roster.  Each player provides their own unique talents and abilities on and off the field. There is no way all five will make the final roster. Let’s meet the quarterbacks and what to expect from them in 2020.
