Daniel Jones had a solid rookie season for the NY Giants in 2019. He averaged more fantasy points per game than Tom Brady, Jared Goff, and Phillip Rivers. There is reason to believe he will be even better in 2020 and the quarterback out of Duke could develop into an elite NFL quarterback.
When Dave Gettleman drafted Daniel Jones with the sixth pick in the 2019 NFL draft, Giants fans and members of the media had a collective meltdown. Many acted like the world was ending.

Some draft experts had Daniel Jones going much later in the draft. The Giants took their franchise quarterback with the 6th overall pick and they do not regret that decision.
In just 12 starts, Jones threw for 24 touchdowns (tied for 13th in the NFL) and over 3,000 yards. He also ran for two touchdowns and 279 yards. There are many who believe Jones should have received more consideration for offensive rookie of the year.
Can Daniel Jones break into the top tier of quarterbacks in just his second season? It is definitely a possibility. For fantasy football, it is usually wise to wait for a quarterback until the end of the draft, and Jones could be an excellent late-round sleeper at the position.
Even Pro Football Focus, who has not always spoken kindly of the G-Men QB, projects Daniel Jones to finish 12th the NFL in fantasy football points.
In this article, I will go into the reasons why Jones will finish even better than 12th in fantasy. I believe the Duke product will finish as one of the top fantasy football QBs in 2020.
