2. OT Jawaan Taylor

I can tell you ahead of time that this list is filled with offensive linemen and cornerbacks, as those were two of the NY Giants’ biggest needs heading into the 2019 draft.

The first offensive lineman on the list is Jawaan Taylor. Taylor was the #16 overall player on my big board going into the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jawaan Taylor was one of the top offensive linemen in the draft and was projected to go as early as pick 7 to the Jaguars. Unfortunately, due to long-term durability concerns Taylor fell to the early second round – to the Jaguars.

Taylor ended up starting 16 games this past season for Jacksonville, while the NY Giants had absolutely pitiful offensive line play throughout the year. The NY Giants spent two early draft picks this year on offensive tackles, one of those could have been used elsewhere if they selected Taylor last year.
