How can the NY Giants defense survive with a weak secondary and pass rush?

While many of the great people in the #GiantsTwitter-sphere are very high on the young talent the NY Giants possess, the reasonable side of that group realizes that our pass-rushing group and now our cornerback group are two or of the handful of weakest in the league.

When dealing with the flow of a successful defense, a stout pass rush sets up the secondary for success and the secondary can also give the pass-rushing group a pass by holding up steady in coverage.

It’s sort of a chicken and the egg type thing, but the problem is, the NY Giants may not have a chicken or an egg in this situation.

Dave Gettleman has been all over the map during his tenure as GM, but it’s important that he brings in a veteran cornerback that can play on the outside for the defense to succeed.

If not, it could be a repeat of last year and none of us want that.
