Why are the NY Giants seeking more defensive line reinforcements?

Despite already having an overwhelming number of bodies on the defensive line depth chart, the NY Giants brought in another defensive tackle for a visit despite having other glaring needs.

Paging Dave Gettleman: YOU HAVE ENOUGH DEFENSIVE LINEMAN ON THE 2020 NY Giants.

Right now, Big Blue currently has seven players listed on the defensive line depth chart with only three starting spots available; arguably the last player, who is already likely to be cut with the way things are looking which is a depressing thought on that d-line depth chart is an intriguing former fifth-round pick, RJ McIntosh; so I just can’t see a reason to even entertain spending any money and signing another defensive lineman.

Yet, the brass brought in 2019 fifth-round pick, Daylon Mack formerly of the Ravens, for a physical.

Even though it seems like he might not end up signing with the team, the fact that the execs are thinking about their most stacked position group rather than their worst one is concerning.

As recently discussed, the NY Giants have a glaring weakness at the cornerack position, so Gettleman should be out seeking a cheap veteran vigorously.

Ross Cockrell’s deal falling apart over what really amounted to pennies – they were already so close he was taking his physical – and the general manager needs to act now to avoid our defense being french toast every week this season.
