S – Jabrill Peppers

Peppers, 24, is playing out this season on his fifth-year option, which gives him an easily acquirable contract. Despite suffering injuries the past two seasons, Peppers is the type of player capable of making an impact on special teams as well as on defense.

However, Peppers missed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury suffered last Sunday, after suffering a season-ending back injury against the Bears last November that cost him the final five games of 2019.

Before getting injured, According to Pro Football Focus, Peppers is holding opponents to 7.5 yards per reception, when opposing quarterbacks target him, and has already produced 10 total tackles in 137 snaps through two-plus games.

However, not everyone in league circles believes Peppers will be dealt.

“I don’t think he’s played up to the expectations for him coming out of Michigan,” a current scout tells GMenHQ. “So, because of that, there might not be that strong of a market for him.”

Still, the combination of Peppers’ age, expiring contract, and ability to make an impact on special teams as well as contribute at safety could draw interest.

Potential landing spots: Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Ravens
