P Riley Dixon

Trading a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Denver Broncos for punter Riley Dixon has been one of Gettleman’s more productive and prudent moves.

Dixon had a strong case to be the Giants’ MVP the past two seasons, seriously, and could be on that path again.

Through the first five games, Dixon is averaging 45.5 yards per punt, and drilled seven of his 14 punts inside the 20-yard line.

While the Giants’ defense has been a work in progress, and the offense ranks 31st in scoring, Dixon has done an outstanding job in tilting the field position in New York’s favor throughout the season.
