Round 5 pick, OG/C  – Shane Lemieux

The Giants chose Lemieux, expecting him to be a long-term project with the potential to develop into the starting center of the future or the swing-guard as a rookie.

However, Lemieux has only played in two snaps and it was in an unconventional role: fullback.

As left guard Will Hernandez continues to struggle this season, there’s a chance Lemieux could wind up rotating in as Peart has. In the meantime, he could become a weapon in jumbo packages, especially down near the goalline at fullback.
