Round 7 pick, LB – Tae Crowder

Crowder, the last of the Giants’ four linebackers chosen, and this year’s draft’s “Mr Irrelevant” has played more defensive snaps than any of his fellow rookie linebackers.

Active for four games, including his first career start Sunday against the Cowboys, Crowder has appeared in 84 snaps with nine total tackles. However, Pro Football Focus gives Crowder an overall grade of just 33, a run-defense grade of 32.1, but a pass-rush grade of 51.2.

Opposing quarterbacks have a 93.2 passer rating when targeting Crowder as he’s appeared in 44 coverage snaps.

It will be interesting to see if Crowder returns to the starting lineup Sunday, or if he is supplanted by Brown.
