X-factor #3: Kaden Smith

Kaden Smith has been very quiet in the NY Giants’ offense. Kaden has been seeing roughly 40% of the offense’s snaps, and his reps in the offense have decreased from the first two weeks in the last three weeks.

However, Smith shined last season vs Washington. He had six catches for 35 yards, two touchdowns, and the last one being the game-winner in Overtime. The last one was especially sweet as he blew by former NY Giants’ defender, Landon Collins, along the way after things got chippy earlier in the game.

Look for Kaden to be used often in two tight end sets (12 personnel) this week to protect the line’s edge against Washington’s imposing pass rush. #82 is one of the most underrated and underused parts of the offense. Look for that to change this week with Kaden Smith making an impact.
