NY Giants are 5.5 point underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football in Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season

The NY Giants open as slight underdogs against the NFC East rival Eagles in Philadelphia on Thursday Night Football in Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season.

According to Bovada, the Giants are 5.5 point underdogs to the Eagles, following head coach Joe Judge’s first career victory, a 20-19 win over the Washington Football Team.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones hopes to build on Sunday’s win.

“The approach is to build on the good and correct the bad,” Jones said following Sunday’s game. “Today, it was good to get the result, to do enough to get the win. We know we got to keep improving and keep moving forward as a team. I think guys understand that, and that’s how we’re going to build on this one and keep it going.”

Meanwhile, the Eagles enter Thursday night riding a two-game losing streak following Sunday’s 30-28 home loss to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is 5-0 on Thursday nights, with two of those victories coming against the Giants.

However, Judge’s Giants could be on the cusp of building some momentum entering their third consecutive game against division opponents. The Giants are 6-4 against the spread over the last 10 weeks, despite averaging just 17.3 points per game this season.

The winner of Thursday night’s contest will be well positioned in the NFC East race. Entering Monday night’s Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals clash, Dallas leads the division at just 2-3.
