DUD – LT Andrew Thomas

Benched to start the game, Thomas wound up rotating in with third-round rookie Matt Peart at various points throughout the game. And showed why he didn’t get the start against Washington rookie Chase Young.

On a critical 3rd down and 1 on the Giants’ first possession of the second half, Thomas completely whiffed on a block that led to Montez Sweat and Landon Collins stuffing running back Devonta Freeman for a one-yard loss, forcing a punt.

Judge sat Thomas as punishment for the rookie missing a meeting, but that didn’t rattle Jones’ confidence in his left tackle.

“As teammates, we support him,” Jones said after the game. “And I thought he did a good job. He’s a mature guy, he’s a guy who can step up and he stepped in and played well when he got back out there. Certainly, have all the confidence in the world with him, and our job is to support him, and I thought he played well.”
