STUD – DL Leonard Williams

Williams has been off to the strongest start to a season in his career, consistently been among the Giants’ most dominant defensive players, and that continued Sunday.

With the Giants holding a 10-0 lead, with 13:07 remaining in the first quarter, Williams stood up as an edge rusher and came screaming in untouched to sack Washington quarterback Kyle Allen. It was Williams’ third sack of the season.

Williams finished Sunday with five total tackles, one sack, two quarterback hits, and one tackle for loss.

Playing this season on the franchise tag, Williams is making a strong case for the Giants, or another team, to offer him a significant payday in 2021, especially if he keeps up this torrid pace.
