Protect the football

The Giants enter Thursday night with the best turnover differential in the NFC East, at -2, with is 22nd in the NFL, but playing a turnover free game might be crucial to New York’s chances of pulling off an upset.

Quarterback Daniel Jones was intercepted last week in the back of the end zone when Washington defensive back Kendall Fuller made an athletic play to land with his thigh just in bounds as he fell to the ground, but Jones is going to finally need to play a clean game the Giants are going to win Thursday night.

Jones has thrown six interceptions and lost three fumbles, accounting for all of the Giants’ turnovers through six weeks. If Jones is able to protect the football, and the Giants’ don’t give Wentz and the Eagles’ offense additional possessions, they should have a chance to dictate in this game.
