“He’s just a rookie. Turnovers will stop.”

In addition to making a few good throws each game, Jones is good for a turnover or two each game, too.

He has turned the ball over in every game thus far this season. He’s turned the ball over multiple times in four of the games this season.

Interceptions are a great concern. He had 12 interceptions in as many games started in 2019, and he seemed doomed to surpass that total this year. Fumbles are even worse. He lost 15 of his 18 fumbles from 2019, bringing his total lost fumbles to 19. Since he’s been a NY Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones has 38 turnovers.

This leads fellow 2019 NFL Draft quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins. Through 22 games, Murray has 21 turnovers. After fumbling the ball five times as a rookie, Murray has been able to reduce that to just once this year. And though Murray has turned the ball over in all but one game thus far this season, he has led the Arizona Cardinals to a 4-2 record in arguably the toughest division in the NFL.

Through 11 games, Haskins has 17 turnovers, but was benched earlier this season. Haskins has just one fewer win than Jones, and seven fewer losses.
