The NY Giants are projected to select in the top-five picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, within striking distance of Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence

The NY Giants are in the bizarre situation of being within striking distance of the NFC East crown, following Washington’s win over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday, and having among the best odds in the league of landing the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Trevor Lawrence in a Giants uniform is a distinct possibility.

Following Sunday’s games, the Jets remain the only winless team in the league and the favorites in the sweepstakes for the Clemson quarterback believed by many to be a generational talent, while the Giants are among six teams with just one victory.

These are the tiebreakers used to set the NFL Draft order, as Pro Football Network points out:

"In situations where teams finish the regular season with identical records, draft position is determined by strength of schedule — defined as the aggregate winning percentage of a team’s opponents. The team with the lower strength of schedule will be awarded the higher pick to break the tie.If the teams with identical regular season records also have the same strength of schedule, division or conference tiebreakers are applied to determine which team will be awarded the higher pick."
