NY Giants general manager Dave Gettleman faces some difficult questions ahead of the 2020 NFL trade deadline, here’s a look at which veterans should stay and who should go before next week

NY Giants general manager Dave Gettleman is in a unique spot as Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline approaches.

Gettleman has a roster that is devoid of talent and depth at most key positions, but deploys a dominant veteran-laden defensive line, and has several veteran contributors who might have once been viewed as part of the team’s core but now might be better suited as ammunition to slash salary and stash draft picks.

According to conversations with team and league sources, the Giants’ top priority leading up to the trade deadline is to identify veteran players who can be traded to create cap space the rest of this season that can be rolled over to 2021, and cut from next year’s payroll because the salary cap is anticipated to drop and perhaps drop significantly.

With that in mind, scroll through for analysis on seven Giants veterans whose names have been circulated in trade rumors  and whether they should stay or go before Tuesday afternoon:
