NY Giants: NFL trade deadline stay or go | Golden Tate, Logan Ryan, more
LB Kyler Fackrell
Fackrell has been one of the Giants’ most productive pass-rushers, and he’s even gotten involved on the scoreboard, returning a Dak Prescott interception for a touchdown against the Cowboys earlier this season.
While Fackrell is only on a one-year contract, and trading him would create approximately $2.6 million in cap space for the rest of this season that can be used potentially to extend Tomlinson, Williams, or simply rolled over to 2021, the fact that Lorenzo Carter’s productivity in 2021 remain an uncertainty after he ruptured his Achilles tendon and that none of the Giants’ young linebackers have proven adequate or capable pass rushers, holding onto Fackrell and trying to extend him feels like the right move.
