Jayson Oweh – LB/DE, Penn State

Game: vs. Ohio State, 7:30 p.m.

Likely a Day 2 prospect, there are few linebackers in the country more athletic than Oweh.

Oweh was timed at 4.33 in the 40-yard dash shortly after arriving to Penn State, and that speed has translated both in his ability to wreak havoc as a pass rusher as well as when asked to drop in coverage. Likely a Day 2 prospect, Oweh would be a welcomed injection of athleticism into the Giants’ linebacking corps.

Standing 6-foot-5 and 252 pounds, Oweh has shown an ability to be disruptive as a pass rusher and in coverage, despite limited playing time as a freshman in 2019.

The Giants have gotten significant contributions from offseason pickups Kyler Fackrell and Blake Martinez, but Oweh is a far more complete prospect and versatile player than any of the linebackers chosen by Dave Gettleman this past April and would compete for starter caliber snaps immediately.
