Daniel Jones and the NY Giants host Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., in a game that carries monumental NFC East implications

Somehow, the NY Giants are in the thick of the NFC East race, and can pull within a game of the Eagles with a win over their arch-nemesis to the south on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

However, after coughing up a double-digit fourth quarter lead in a 22-21 Week 7 loss, the Eagles are much healthier this time around with the anticipated returns of tight end Dallas Goedert, running back Miles Sanders, and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

“We had our shot in the first game,” Giants head coach Joe Judge said Friday morning. “This game is a completely different game. There are different players on the field, it’s going to be a different game plan from both teams. For us, this game is completely independent of the last one. The only thing that’s really relevant from the last game are the lessons we’ve learned as a team that help us improve as a team.”

The Giants’ defense is peaking at the right time, forcing five turnovers in last week’s win against the Washington Football Team, while Daniel Jones and the offense have unveiled some trick plays in recent weeks. Could that be enough to pull off an upset over the Eagles and make up ground in the suddenly within reach NFC East race?
