Cornerbacks

James Bradberry

Arguably the Giants’ defensive MVP this season, and the most impactful free agent signing made in the Gettleman era, Bradberry has been among the NFL’s best cornerbacks in 2020. Opposing quarterbacks have a meager 74.4 passer rating when targeting Bradberry, who has three interceptions, one forced fumble, 28 total tackles, and 14 pass breakups. What has made Bradberry’s strong season even more impressive is that he travels against the opponent’s most gifted wide receiver almost every week. Bradberry’s been better than advertised. Grade: A+

Isaac Yiadom

Outside cornerback opposite Bradberry has been a revolving door for the Giants all season, and it probably won’t be long until someone else walks through and replaces Yiadom. Quarterbacks’ favorite pastime in recent weeks has been finding Yiadom, and then targeting him, on the way to a 146.9 passer rating. Yiadom picked up a sack against the Washington Football Team, but got burned downfield several times. It’s been that kind of season for him. Grade: C-

Darnay Holmes

Holmes, the Giants’ fourth-round pick in April’s NFL Draft has played primarily in the slot this season. The Brash and confident former UCLA Bruin has frequently been cut down to size as receivers are averaging 9.7 yards per reception against him. Similarly to Yiadom, Holmes has been a favorite target of opposing quarterbacks. Grade C-

Madre Harber

Harper got the chance at some extended run in the first game against the Eagles, and did not acquit himself well. At all. In addition to giving up a touchdown and several deep passes downfield, Harper committed a pair of costly unnecessary roughness penalties. Harper looks more like a practice squad caliber player than one worthy of being in the starting lineup. Grade: D-
