No. 2) DB Madre Harper

Right cornerback has been a revolving door for the Giants the past two seasons, whether it’s opposite James Bradberry this season or Janoris Jenkins in 2019.

Madre Harper, Isaac Yiadom, Brandon Williams have all spent time opposite Bradberry this season, but none of them are the long-term solution at the position. If this defense is ever going to take the step from a developing one into a championship caliber one, the Giants need to find a long-term answer there.

Opposing quarterbacks have an astronomical 158.3 passer rating when targeting Harper, and receivers are averaging 16.5 yards per reception against him. In Week 7 against the Eagles, Harper gave up a touchdown, several big plays, and was flagged for a pair of unsportsmanlike penalties that proved costly for the Giants.

Whether it is in free agency, where the Giants struck gold with Bradberry last spring, or in the NFL Draft, the Giants must finally round out the rebuild at cornerback. Harper just isn’t the answer.
