Leonard Williams starts new sack streak

NY Giants defensive lineman Leonard Williams produced a sack in two of the last three games and three of the last five, but given his steady improvement throughout this season there’s plenty of reason to believe that he’ll begin a new sack streak on Sunday.

Williams enters Week 12 with a 68.4 pass rush grade from Pro Football Focus, having generated 33 total pressures in 299 pass-rush snaps. Through 10 games, Williams leads the Giants with six sacks and he has added 16 hurries and 11 quarterback hits to go with 31 total tackles.

The Bengals have already allowed 32 sacks this season, by and large because both tackles have been sieves, as illustrated by the barrage of hits Burrow withstood Sunday before his knee crumbled under Washington rookie Chase Young.

If Williams continues to play at as high a level as he has for much of this season, he could have the opportunity to produce at least one more sack this week.
