TE Evan Engram – STUD

A first half fumble where he had the ball punched out of his hands notwithstanding, Sunday was among Engram’s finest performances of the season.

Engram was targeted nine times, and caught a game-high six passes for a season-high 129 yards, including a first half 53-yard reception that sparked the offense.

“It was really good execution by the offense,” Engram said. “Good protection and a great ball. I’ve just been working those plays. They played man across the board and we have to win those matchups. I was just trying to make a play for the team.”

Depending on Jones’ availability in coming weeks, it wouldn’t be too big of a surprise to see Engram’s role expand in the offense, particularly if offensive coordinator Jason Garrett opts to simplify the route tree for Colt McCoy and feature more short and intermediate routes to the tight ends over the middle.
