NY Giants coach Joe Judge made good on a bet on the Egg Bowl with tight end Evan Engram

NY Giants head coach Joe Judge lost a bet to tight end Evan Engram, leading the Mississippi State alum to wear a hoodie and bucket hat from his hated rival, Ole Miss, during a Zoom call with reporters Friday.

What would have happened if Mississippi State had pulled off the win?

“[Evan] would have been walking around with a cowbell all week,” Judge joked.

Judge was forced to represent the Rebels after Mississippi State fell in the Egg Bowl, 31-24 last week. It was the first loss for the Bulldogs since 2017.

Engram, the Giants’ first-round pick out of Ole Miss back in 2017 NFL Draft, even made a brief, masked, cameo on Judge’s call with reporters.

If nothing else, Judge making good on his bet is the latest example of the first-year head coach bonding with his players and seems to be an indicator of the Giants being relatively loose in the midst of a three-game winning streak that’s vaulted them to the top of the NFC East standings.
