The NY Giants should bolster their pass rush and sign Clay Matthews. This move makes sense for many reasons, we break it down here.

The NY Giants should sign Clay Matthews.

Bringing in a much-accomplished and proven veteran will help push the Giants pass rush to another level with some more reinforcements. Matthews was a terror in Green Bay for several years, racking up six Pro Bowls and two All-Pros in his 10 years with the Pack.

Matthews left Green Bay in 2018 and made one of the best climate changes in the NFL, going from the frozen tundra of Wisconsin to the shining rays of Los Angeles where he signed with the Rams.

As a result, Matthews had a rejuvenated season, racking up eight sacks in a limited, part-time pass-rushing role with LA. It was his most sacks in five seasons since getting 11.5 sacks in 2014.

Clay is no longer the dominant, game wrecking force he once was with Green Bay. But as shown last year, Matthews can still rush the quarterback as well as anyone in the NFL.

There are several reasons why Matthews would be a tremendous addition to the NY Giants roster. Click through the next few slides and see why signing Clay Matthews could be a game-changer for New York.
