GMEN HQ: Several Giants fans clamored for Isaiah Simmons to be their #4 pick to give the defense a weapon to deploy all over the field. How has Simmons looked this year? It appears he has improved and played more lately. How will he impact this game Sunday, especially matching up against Andrew Thomas?

Raising Zona:

He is improving slowly but he’s really not going to be a consistent force until he gets a full off-season and training camp.  His snap count is climbing but not very much.  The Cardinals still seem to be slowly working him in.

GMEN HQ:

While the NY Giants have Andrew Thomas, it certainly would have been interesting to see Isaiah Simmons in Giants blue gear. He is a stick of dynamite on the field, exploding with speed and enthusiasm wherever he goes.

Defensive coordinator Patrick Graham would have a field day deploying Simmons all over this New York defense and giving fits to opposing coordinators. It will be great to see Simmons line up vs Thomas this week. We’ll get our first taste of what-if the Giants selected Simmons 4th overall instead of their promising and improving left tackle.
