NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will return from an injured right hamstring against the Arizona Cardinals, sources confirm

NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will start Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, returning from a right hamstring injury suffered two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals, team sources confirm to GMenHQ.

“At this point, there’s no reason to believe he won’t play,” said a source.

Jones’ anticipated return was first reported by The Athletic on Saturday afternoon, after Jones’ passed final testing on his hamstring with the team.

Last Sunday, the Giants held off on making a decision on Jones’ availability until seeing how he held up during pre-game warmups, something that head coach Joe Judge said Friday he did not want to repeat.

"“In a perfect world I’d like to make the decision before game day,” Judge said prior to Friday’s practice. “I’d like to know tonight, at the latest. For myself. If we have to go into it tomorrow and do something more with the trainers, so be it. But, I normally don’t like to do things like that with guys on Saturday.”"

The Giants and Cardinals kickoff at 1 p.m. on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, looking to extend a four-game winning streak that has lifted New York to the NFC East division lead.
