Round 3, Pick No. 73: Chris Olave – WR, Ohio State

6-foot-1, 190 pounds

36 catches for 528 yards, and five touchdowns

If Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals proved anything, it is that the NY Giants’ offense sans Saquon Barkley is devoid of game-altering talent.

Enter, Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave.

A smooth route-runner with elite hands, it wouldn’t be surprising if Olave winds up rising up draft boards — potentially as high as the first-round.

One of the things that sets Olave apart from other receivers in this class is his propensity to pull down contested passes over the middle of the field as well as his productivity in the red zone, an area where the Giants have struggled mightily this season.

If the Giants are able to add Olave to a receiving corps with Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, and perhaps a marquee free agent signing, it would be a significant and much-needed upgrade of quarterback Daniel Jones’ supporting cast.
