The NY Giants will be without arguably the most talented player on the roster Sunday night, as cornerback James Bradberry was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list

The NY Giants will be without one of the game’s premier cornerbacks for Sunday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns, after James Bradberry was added to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday afternoon, sources confirm to GMenHQ.

News of Bradberry being placed on the list and downgraded to OUT for Sunday night’s game was first broken by NFL Network.

The Giants revealed that Bradberry was deemed a high-risk close contact of an individual who tested positive, but that the contact occurred outside of the team’s facility.

Losing Bradberry against the Cleveland Browns’ offense led by suddenly dynamic quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Jarvis Landry is a colossal blow to the Giants’ defense. In all likelihood rookie slot cornerback Darnay Holmes will likely be out due to a knee injury that kept him from practice this week and out of last week’s game. That leaves Isaac Yiadom as the only fully healthy cornerback on the Giants’ roster.

The earliest that Bradberry can come off the reserve/COVID-19 list if he continues to test negative will be this upcoming Monday, which would be in time for Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Entering this week, Bradberry had intercepted three passes, held quarterbacks to a meager 70.4 passer rating and opposing wide receivers to 11 yards per reception.
