Forced into extended playing time due to the Giants’ injuries at linebacker, Devante Downs has become a liability in coverage when he’s on the field, and that was especially the case early Sunday night.

It seemed that Downs was not deep enough in his zone in the end zone, allowing Austin Cooper to break wide open behind him for an easy two-yard touchdown Browns touchdown to give Cleveland a 7-3 lead with 7:28 remaining in the second quarter.
