Round 2, pick No. 42: Terrace Marshall – WR, LSU

Marshall has the coveted blend of size, freakish athleticism, speed, and reliable hands that give him the chance to rise to the top of most wide receiver depth charts across the NFL, which means he’s a plug-and-play starter for the Giants.

If the Giants are going to move to a more vertical passing game next season and allow Daniel Jones to stretch the field, Marshall has the speed not just to get behind a defense, as illustrated by his 4.53 40-yard dash, but he’s also outstanding at tracking the ball.

As Giants receivers have struggled mightily to generate much separation this season, Marshall has shown various ways of getting past press coverage at the line of scrimmage, and is a surprisingly smooth route-runner.

In two-plus seasons in Baton Rouge, Marshall collected 106 receptions for 1,594 yards and 23 touchdowns.
