GMEN HQ: The Ravens are in the thick of a playoff race they are behind in. The team is looking to make the playoffs after a turbulent season with a COVID-19 outbreak, four losses in five games, and multiple injuries. What’s gone wrong for Baltimore this season? What’s changed over the last three games during the team’s 3-game win streak?

Ebony Bird:

Well look at it this way, the Ravens had one bad stretch where everything that could go wrong basically did.

The Ravens lost Ronnie Stanley and Nick Boyle for the year to injury. COVID-19 made this season weird. Calais Campbell and Brandon Williams are key members of the defensive line and they’ve missed time and have been hampered by injury. You name it, it happened.

Over the last three games, the run game has gotten going. The Ravens are back to running the football the way they did last year. It creates a lot of possibilities for the offense. Lamar Jackson has been playing great. Jackson was incredible against the Browns in the 47-42 game, coming back from cramping problems. Other than one bad pass against the Jaguars, he was spot on last week.
