If the past three weeks — a stretch where the Giants have scored just two offensive touchdowns — has shown anything it is that this offense is devoid of game-altering talent.

Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has the kind of speed that can take the top off a defense, having been timed in the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.27 seconds.

Waddle, 5-foot-10 and 182 pounds, has developed into an electrifying playmaker in the Crimson Tide’s passing offense, catching 25 passes for 557 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 22.3 yards per reception.

There’s a chance that Waddle is the first receiver chosen and could be gone before the Giants go on the clock. But, if he’s available, he needs to rank high on the NY Giants’ board.

If Waddle slides to the Giants, he would immediately vault to the top of the wide receiver depth chart and could be deployed similarly to how the Cowboys have used CeeDee Lamb or the Vikings utilized Justin Jefferson as legitimate deep threats. ,
