The NY Giants’ bid to win the NFC East division championship fell just short Sunday night, but their spot in the 2021 NFL Draft order has been clinched.
Despite beating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, the NY Giants will once again be left out in the cold when the NFL Playoffs begin next weekend, and can officially begin building their 2021 NFL Draft board.
Because the Washington Football Team held serve to beat the undermanned Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, the NY Giants will miss the postseason for the eighth time in the past nine years and for the fourth consecutive season after finishing 6-10.
While it remains to be seen whether Dave Gettleman will return as the NY Giants’ general manager, we do know where the Giants will be picking in the draft.
The Giants are now locked into the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. It will be the first time that the NY Giants are picking outside of the top-10 picks since picking No. 23 overall in 2017, when they chose tight end Evan Engram.
Here is a look at the first 18 picks, with picks 19-32 determined by the outcomes of the NFL Playoffs:
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- New York Jets
- Miami Dolphins (via Houston Texans)
- Atlanta Falcons
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Detroit Lions
- Carolina Panthers
- Denver Broncos
- Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
- San Francisco 49ers
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Minnesota Vikings
- New England Patriots
- Arizona Cardinals
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Miami Dolphins
