NY Giants defensive back Logan Ryan has already started texting trash talk to Buccaneers QB Tom Brady ahead of a possible showdown in the NFL Playoffs

NY Giants defensive back Logan Ryan is a former teammate of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, but that hasn’t stopped him from talking trash ahead of a possible meeting next Sunday in the NFL Playoffs.

“I texted him already,” Ryan told reporters after the game. “I look forward to it. I envision it happening, I’m ready.

Ryan and Brady were teammates with the New England Patriots from 2013-2016 when the duo won a pair of Super Bowls together, and Ryan also has the distinction of intercepting Brady’s final pass as Patriot and returning it for a touchdown during last January’s AFC Wild Card Game.

"“It’s not me versus him,” Ryan said. “But, I’m ready for round three, I’m ready for it. It would be the greatest challenge; he’s the greatest test at that high-level quarterback play. No matter what the stats say, he’s the greatest test when it comes to IQ of the game, so I’m looking forward to it and I think he’ll look forward to that, too. It’ll be good for the fans."

If the Philadelphia Eagles pull off an upset of the Washington Football Team on Sunday night, it will be Ryan’s new team, the 6-10 Giants, who will be crowned NFC East champions and host the Buccaneers next weekend in the NFC Playoffs.

Following Sunday’s 23-19 NY Giants victory over the Cowboys, Ryan has little doubt that despite their record, the Giants are deserving of making the postseason.

“I feel like we’re the best team in the division. We didn’t handle the games outside of the division all the time, so we’ll see what happens.”
