Leonard Williams is heading towards a huge payday this offseason. Williams just earned his 2nd NFC DPOW Honor.

Leonard Williams Wins NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Leonard Williams is going to get PAID this offseason.

Williams saved his best performance for last in Week 17, as he picked up 3 sacks, 5 QB hits, 5  more pressures, and 3 tackles for a loss. Add in a deflected pass and seven total tackles, it was a truly dominant performance from the Giants’ most-important pending Free Agent.

Williams ended his season with a bang and put up career numbers in sacks, QB pressures, tackles for a loss, and overall numbers across the board. It seems like the lightbulb lit up and Williams had a monster season in his year six.

Williams ended 2020 with 11.5 sacks, one game-winning fumble recovery, 30 QB hits, 14 tackles for a loss, and 57 tackles. It was the Giants first season with a  pass rusher to pick up double-digit sack numbers since Jason Pierre-Paul in 2014.

Williams enters 2020 as one of the team’s biggest organizational questions heading into the offseason. After playing 2020 on the franchise tag, all available options will likely be on the table.

Expect the team to try and get a long-term deal hammered out and not let their most talented linemen hit the open market. The NY Giants want Leo back and he seems to have a sincere interest in staying, so hopefully, both sides can work out a fair, reasonable deal to keep him in blue for the future.
