Oklahoma Sooners cornerback Tre Brown (Mandatory Credit: Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports) /

Tre Brown – CB, Oklahoma

Size: 6-foot, 194 pounds
Career stats: 141 total tackles, 2 sacks, 4 interceptions, 31 pass breakups
Round projection: Round 5-7

During his time in Norman, Tre Brown developed the reputation for being a productive ballhawk.

In addition to Brown’s ball-skills in coverage, he also has top-end speed that gives him a chance against speedy wide receivers opposite him, but also a legitimate weapon as a returner on special teams.

Brown has the prototypical size and length that defensive coordinators covet, and the aggressiveness to punch above his weight in coverage. However, if there is one area that Brown needs to improve on — and could show in practice this week — is his ability to be a difference-maker against X receivers.

While the Giants have options to play slot cornerback, Brown could move up Gettleman’s board if he holds his own against outside wide receivers and continues to flash playmaking ability in the return-game.
