Najee Harris – RB, Alabama

Size: 6’2, 230 pounds

Career Stats: 638 carries, 3,843 yards, and 46 rushing touchdowns.

Round Projection: Rounds 1-2

Najee Harris was one of the most electric running backs in college football in a long time.

The four-year back was buried on the depth chart his first two seasons behind future NFL backs in Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris.

Harris patiently waited for his time and didn’t disappoint when given the opportunity to shine.

Harris ended his four-year career with two national championships, two SEC championships, and a 1st Team All-SEC and 2nd All-SEC awards apiece. To end his illustrious career, Harris capped off 2020 by winning the Doak Walker Award presented to the nation’s best running back.

Even more impressively, NajeeHarrisended his Alabama career finishing as the school’s all-time rusher in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Think about all the accomplished backs to go through the school from Heisman winners such as Mark Ingram and Derrick Henry alongside NFL greats such as Shaun Alexander, and other NFL backs like TJ Yeldon, Eddie Lacy, Trent Richardson amongst others.

Harris doesn’t have much more to prove in this week’s Senior Bowl.

He simply needs to stay healthy, do his thing on the field, and wow teams in interviews which he should do as a clean prospect with a strong review from Coach Saban. If he falls in the draft due to his position at running back, he’d be a dream pairing in Round 2 for the NY Giants to go alongside Saquon Barkley and form a ridiculous 1-2 punch in their backfield.
