Round 3, pick No. 75: Joseph Ossai, Edge rusher – Texas

Size: 6-foot-4, 253 pounds

Career stats: 164 total tackles, 11 sacks, five forced fumbles, two interceptions, three pass breakups

Ossai would have the chance immediately to compete for a starting job either with his hand on the dirt as a defensive end — if he can bulk up this offseason — or near the top of the outside linebacker rotation.

A two-year starter for the Longhorns, Ossai produced five sacks each of the past two seasons and has the versatility both to get after the passer and drop into coverage when asked to.

The Giants must add playmaking linebackers to pair alongside Blake Martinez, and after producing his career best overall rating from PFF (79.9), Ossai certainly has that kind of upside.
