NY Giants 7-round mock draft: Kyle Pitts, playmakers, pass-rushers galore
Round 3, pick No. 76: Benjamin St-Juste, CB, Minnesota
One of the more glaring holes on the Giants’ defense is a starting caliber outside cornerback opposite James Bradberry, and Benjamin St. Juste has the potential to fill that void immediately.
St. Juste, 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, has the ideal frame to start outside at the NFL level and the fluid hips to keep pace with some of the league’s quickest receivers off the line of scrimmage.
Not afraid to body up against opponents and get physical at the point of attack, St. Juste thrives in press-man coverage, something that the NY Giants’ secondary has lacked the past several seasons.
Last year, St. Juste garnered a 72.6 coverage grade from PFF, and allowed opposing quarterbacks a meager 55 completion percentage. Bradberry is a an All-Pro caliber cornerback, and St.Juste would be a worthy complement on the other side.
