Leon Hall, 2016

Leon Hall was a leader on the Cincinnati Bengals from 2007-2015. The team found great success while he was in the Queen City – winning multiple division titles and becoming the regular season team to beat in the AFC North.

While they never had success in the playoffs, Hall’s teams made it to the dance more often than not. The former first round pick was counted upon as a consistent play-maker in the Bengals’ defense – anchoring their secondary for almost a decade.

The Giants’ brought Hall in to a talented secondary that already featured Janoris Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Landon Collins and Eli Apple. He would help the Giants’ to the playoffs in his lone season – contributing two pass deflections, two sacks and an interception while playing corner and safety.

Hall’s interception would prove to be a huge one – picking off a rookie Dak Prescott during a 10-7 Giants’ win on Sunday Night Football. It was a huge momentum swing that helped his team defeat their division rival.

After the Giants, Hall would take his talents to the west coast – finishing his career with stints in San Francisco and Oakland. He would finish an impressive NFL career after the 2018 season.

Hall’s time in New York was short – but it was successful. The Giants’ wanted a smart, savvy veteran to help the back-end of their secondary – that’s what they got in Hall.
