Logan Ryan dines with Adoree’ Jackson, hoping to help NY Giants seal deal
The NY Giants are hosting defensive back Adoree’ Jackson, and enlisted one of Jackson’s former teammates and closest friends to help seal the deal; Logan Ryan.
Ryan and Jackson were teammates with the Tennessee Titans, and Sunday night Ryan flew north from his Florida home to go to dinner with Jackson, amid ongoing negotiations with the 25-year-old free agent.
Jackson and Ryan were teammates in Tennessee from 2017-through-2019, and it is obvious Ryan hopes they’re soon teammates again.
Ryan tweeted a photo from the dinner on Sunday evening:
In addition to Ryan taking Jackson to dinner, NY Giants defensive backs Jabrill Peppers and Darnay Holmes have been actively recruiting the USC alum.
As was the case with wide receiver Kenny Golladay, who signed a four-year contract with the NY Giants during his free agent visit worth up to $40 million guaranteed, money will likely ultimately be the deciding factor whether Jackson follows suit and signs with the Giants.
However, Ryan is one of the NY Giants’ most respected locker room leaders. As is quarterback Daniel Jones, who reached out to sell Golladay on the Giants ahead of Golladay putting the Tiffany pen to paper on his deal Saturday afternoon.
The NY Giants adopting a targeted approach at pursuing the top of market players at positions of dire need this offseason is a welcomed philosophical change for the organization. It’s a change that just might pay significant dividends on the field this fall. Likewise, Ryan and Jones recruiting those top targets shows just how much of a belief and confidence there is among the players in the culture being crafted by head coach Joe Judge.
